Objective

Procedural Information

Time of surgery:

This procedure lasts between three and five hours.

Type of surgery:

A short stay.

Anesthesia:

Sedation or general anesthesia, depending on the physician's instructions and the patient.

Time admitted:

One day under observation.

Post-operative Recovery:

Stitches are removed in eight days. There will be inflammation and bruising which will disappear completely after one and a half months. After two months, all regular activities may be resumed.

Final Result:

Results can be observed in a period of three to four months.

Scarring:

Face lift incisions begin in the hair area, around the temples and extend downward, in the natural crease in front of the ear to the earlobe and slightly behind the ear.

Special attention:

A bandage or special elastic band, placed around the face, will need to be used for a determined amount of time.

How noticeable are the scars from this procedure?

The majority of the scars will be hidden in the hair and in the natural folds in your skin, and thus will be rather unnoticeable.

What can I do to help reduce swelling after the surgery?
